What's Hot in Woophoo Agora?

Feka: GPS would not start up — Nokia E71 model with latest client. When I fire up the client, the GPS does not seem to start to work. I wait like 5 minutes and nothing. My workaround is to put the client in the background, go to the cellphone's own GPS subsystem and start it. Then I close that app, go back to the running Woophoo client and voilá - I have GPS signal

Tisztamo: Speed — Hi,we found and probably fixed the issue, it was in the underlying gps library, j4me. The bug is fixed in the current j4me version so it will work in the next woophoo release. I created a preview release 1.1.0 of the woophoo client because the 1.0 line is not developed anymore, we rewrite the mapping-related code using the Nutiteq mapping library (instead of j2memap). This preview release…

Nikos0117: Speed — Thank you for your answer! I am using a royaltek rbt1000 gps and I never met this problem with other applications (mobile trail explorer and nav4all). Although I can't close out that the gps has the bug. thanks again Nikos

Tisztamo: Speed — Hi,thanks for the report! The speed value comes directly form your gps unit so I think that probably your gps sends incorrect data to the woophoo client. Some Nokia receivers have this strange behavior. Do you use an external gps unit? Does it work correctly with other applications? Can you please send the model number of it?At the time the client does'nt verify the data, altough it is possible…

Nikos0117: Speed — I just started to use woophoo and I found that the speed showing on the screen is 180% higher than the speed on my car

Tisztamo: Question for built-in GPS — Hi, Sorry for the late answer! Maybe the problem is that your J2ME implementation (Phone ME?) does'nt support the JSR179 location API.Unfortunaltely Windows Mobile is not yet supported because we are limited in testing resources. Please send a mail to "contact at woophoo" if you feel like help us testing. Thanks!
